DK’s Recovery covers Doncaster day and night, for private drivers, local businesses and commercial operators. Cars, vans, motorcycles and non-runners, collected from the roadside, the driveway or the car park and taken wherever they need to go.

Our breakdown recovery runs around the clock. Whether you have stopped on White Rose Way, lost drive on the M18, or found the car dead on the drive on a cold morning, one call gets a truck moving. Tell us where you are and what the vehicle is doing, and we will tell you what happens next.

When a vehicle cannot be driven, we come and get it. We recover cars, vans, motorcycles and non-runners across Doncaster, and we carry them on a flatbed rather than dragging them. That matters for anything with a locked wheel, a failed gearbox, an automatic that should not be towed, or bodywork that will not survive a rope.
Doncaster is a motorway town, and it shows in the work. A good share of the calls are from the M18, the A1(M) or the M180, where the priority is getting people away from moving traffic before anything else happens. The rest are ordinary: a car that will not start in Bessacarr, a blowout on Bawtry Road, a van that has given up in Armthorpe with a day’s deliveries still in the back.
We are across Rotherham and Barnsley on the same days, so a Doncaster job is rarely a special journey.

Breakdowns do not keep office hours, so neither do we. Early starts, night shifts, weekends and bank holidays included. If you are stranded in Doncaster at three in the morning, the phone is answered by someone who can send a truck rather than a call centre that will ring you back.

We work for private drivers, local businesses and commercial operators across Doncaster, from the town centre and Lakeside out to Armthorpe, Bentley, Rossington, Thorne and Conisbrough. Most of our work comes from people who called us once and kept the number.
We respond quickly, so you spend less time at the roadside and the vehicle gets where it needs to be.
Day and night, every day of the year, bank holidays included.
Towing and transport on fully equipped recovery trucks, matched to the size and condition of the vehicle.
Roadside help for breakdowns, battery trouble, engine faults and anything else that has stopped the car moving.
Quick jump starts across Doncaster, and an honest answer when the battery is past saving rather than flat.
Damaged vehicles handled carefully and transported securely after a collision.
Vans and light commercials recovered, with the load taken into account when the van is carrying tools or stock.
Motorway recovery on the M18, the A1(M) and the M180 around Doncaster, using trucks equipped for high-speed roads.
Doncaster sits at a crossroads of motorways and trunk roads, and a good share of our callouts there come from them.
The M18 runs from the M1 at Thurcroft across to the M180, passing Rossington, Armthorpe and Hatfield. If you have stopped on the hard shoulder, everyone out through the passenger doors, behind the barrier, and phone from there rather than from the seats. If the vehicle is in a live lane or anyone is hurt, dial 999 first.
The A1(M) runs down the western side of Doncaster past Wadworth and Adwick, and the old Great North Road, the A638, shadows it through Bentley and Carcroft. The motorway sections are fast and busy with freight, and are not a place to stand near the car.
White Rose Way is the main route between the town centre and Lakeside, and the A18 and A630 carry the traffic east toward Thorne and west toward Conisbrough and Rotherham. These are the roads where an ordinary breakdown turns into a queue quickly, so a car that has stopped needs moving rather than leaving.
East of Doncaster the land is flat and drained, and the roads across the levels sit low. In heavy rain, standing water on those roads is a real risk to an engine. If you have driven through water and the car has cut out, do not keep trying to restart it, because that is how a repairable car becomes a written-off one.
We cover Doncaster town centre and the Frenchgate Interchange, Balby, Bessacarr, Cantley, Armthorpe, Bentley, Rossington, Edlington, Adwick, Askern, Thorne, Stainforth, Dunscroft, Hatfield, Tickhill, Bawtry, Conisbrough and Mexborough. Doncaster is at the eastern reach of our patch, so calling early gives us the best chance of a quick turnaround.
Yes, including the M18 between the M1 and the M180 and the A1(M) past Wadworth and Adwick. On any motorway, get behind the barrier before you call, and dial 999 first if the vehicle is in a live lane or anyone is hurt.
It depends where you are, where the vehicle needs to go, the time of day and what we are recovering. Doncaster is a longer run than our Sheffield work, so distance counts for more here. Call and we will price it before we set off.
Do not try to restart it. If water has reached the engine, cranking it is what turns an expensive repair into a scrapped car. Leave it, call us, and have it taken to a garage that can check it properly before anyone attempts a start.
Yes, and from Armthorpe, Bentley, Rossington, Askern, Hatfield, Tickhill and Mexborough. Doncaster callouts take us out to the villages routinely.
Yes. Vans, pickups and light commercials as well as cars and motorcycles. Say how big it is and whether there is a load on board, because both decide which truck comes.
It depends where you are and what we are already on, and it is further out than Sheffield or Rotherham. Call and we will give you a realistic time rather than an optimistic one.
