DK’s Recovery covers Barlborough around the clock. It is a Derbyshire village that happens to sit on top of a motorway junction, and the two halves of that produce very different jobs.
We recover cars, vans, motorcycles and non-runners here on a flatbed rather than dragging them. Barlborough is a straightforward run for us down the M1 or across from Killamarsh, and we are on junction 30 regularly.
Barlborough sits between Eckington, Chesterfield and Worksop, and the junction is what links all three.

DK’s Recovery covers Barlborough, Clowne, Whitwell and Renishaw, 24 hours a day. Call with your location and what the vehicle is doing, and you will get a straight answer on timing and price before we set off.
Breakdowns do not keep office hours, so neither do we. Early starts at the business park, late finishes, weekends and bank holidays included. If you are stuck at junction 30 in the middle of the night, the phone is answered by someone who can send a truck rather than a call centre that will ring you back.

DK's Recovery, Acres Hill Business Park, Acres Hill Ln, Sheffield S9 4LR, United Kingdom
A motorway junction, a business and retail park built around it, and an old village a few hundred yards away that has nothing to do with either.
The junction is the reason most people are in Barlborough at all, and a good share of our callouts here are on it or the roundabouts either side. If you have stopped on the hard shoulder, leave by the passenger door, get behind the barrier and call from there rather than from inside the car. If the vehicle is in a live lane or anyone is hurt, dial 999 first.
Barlborough Links and the retail and hotel units around the junction bring a lot of people who are not local and whose car needs to go somewhere else entirely. If you are here on business and the car cannot be driven, tell us where it actually needs to end up on the first call, because a long-distance transport job is priced differently from a local recovery. Our page on planned vehicle transport explains how those work.
The A619 runs west toward Clowne and Chesterfield and east toward Worksop; the A616 heads north through Renishaw toward Eckington. Both are single carriageway with limited places to pull off, so if the car is losing power take the first side road rather than pressing on.
Barlborough village itself is older and tighter than everything built around the junction, with narrow lanes and stone walls. It is workable but it decides which truck we send, so mention it if that is where you are.
We cover Barlborough, Clowne, Whitwell, Creswell, Renishaw, Killamarsh and Eckington, and we run junction 30 to junction 31 constantly.
Yes, and the stretch between junctions 30 and 31. If you are on the hard shoulder, get behind the barrier before you call, and dial 999 first if the vehicle is in a running lane or anyone is hurt.
Yes. Long-distance transport is normal work for us and it is priced on the distance rather than as a local recovery. Say where the car actually needs to end up on the first call and you will get an accurate figure.
Yes, along with Renishaw, Killamarsh and Eckington. Barlborough sits in the middle of that group and we are across it regularly.
It depends where you are, where the vehicle needs to go, the time of day and what we are recovering. Call with those details and you will have a figure before we set off.
It changes which truck comes rather than whether we can. Stone walls and narrow lanes leave little room to lower a ramp, so say if that is where you are and we will send something that fits.
Yes. Vans and light commercials as well as cars and motorcycles. Tell us the size and whether it is loaded when you call, so we send the right truck.
