DK’s Recovery covers Eckington and the Moss Valley villages around it, day and night. Cars, vans, motorcycles and non-runners, collected from the roadside, the driveway or the lane and taken wherever they need to go.

Our breakdown recovery runs around the clock. Whether the car has stopped on the B6056, lost drive on the pull out of the valley, or simply refuses to start on the drive on a cold morning, one call gets a truck moving. Tell us where you are and what the vehicle is doing, and we will tell you what happens next.

When a vehicle cannot be driven, we come and get it. We recover cars, vans, motorcycles and non-runners across Eckington, and we carry them on a flatbed rather than dragging them. That matters for anything with a locked wheel, a failed gearbox, an automatic that should not be towed, or bodywork that will not survive a rope.
Eckington sits right on the border, with a Derbyshire address and Sheffield a few miles up the road. That trips some recovery firms up, because the village falls outside a patch drawn around the city. It does not fall outside ours. We are here regularly, and we know the lanes well enough not to send a truck down one it cannot turn round in.
Eckington is a short run from Killamarsh, Mosborough and Barlborough, and we work the A6135 that ties them together.

Breakdowns do not keep office hours, so neither do we. Early starts, night shifts, weekends and bank holidays included. If you are stranded in Eckington in the middle of the night, the phone is answered by someone who can send a truck rather than a call centre that will ring you back.

Cover across the Moss Valley lanes, the B roads through the village and the A6135 out to Renishaw and the M1.
Eckington is a village of B roads and narrow lanes rather than dual carriageways, and that shapes almost every job here.
These are the two roads that carry most of Eckington's traffic, north toward Mosborough and the Sheffield edge and west toward Dronfield and Coal Aston. They are single carriageway with hedges and verges either side and not many obvious places to pull in, so if the car is still moving, look for a wider stretch or a side road before you stop.
The A6135 runs through Renishaw between Eckington and Barlborough, which is also the route to M1 junction 30. It is the fastest road near the village and the one where a broken-down car is most exposed, so get everyone out on the verge side and stand well back from the carriageway.
The lanes down into the Moss Valley toward Troway, Ridgeway and Marsh Lane are narrow, unlit and steep in places, and some of them have nowhere to turn a recovery truck round. This is the one thing worth telling us before we set off: which lane you are on, which direction you were heading, and whether there is a gateway or passing place near you.
Eckington sits between three motorway routes and none of them are on its doorstep. Junction 30 at Barlborough is the usual one, with junction 31 at Aston reached through Killamarsh. Both are a few minutes further than they look on a map because of the roads in between.
We cover Eckington itself along with Renishaw, Spinkhill, Marsh Lane, Troway, Ridgeway and out toward Coal Aston and Killamarsh. Several of the older streets in the village centre are tight for a flatbed, so say if access is narrow or the car is parked nose-in against a wall.
Yes. Eckington is on the border and it is a short run for us, so the county line makes no difference. It is worth asking, because some firms draw their patch around Sheffield and stop at the boundary.
Almost always, but tell us which lane and which direction you were heading, and whether there is a gateway or passing place nearby. Some of those lanes have nowhere to turn a truck, so knowing in advance means we bring the right one and approach from the right end.
It depends where you are, where the vehicle needs to go, the time of day and what we are recovering. Tell us those things when you ring and we will quote before the truck sets off rather than afterwards.
Yes, and Troway, Ridgeway and the roads out toward Coal Aston and Killamarsh. Eckington callouts take us into the surrounding villages routinely.
Yes. Vans and light commercials as well as cars and motorcycles. Give us the size, whether it is loaded, and how wide the road is, because all three decide which truck we send.
It depends where you are and what we are already on. Call and we will give you a realistic time rather than an optimistic one.
