DK’s Recovery covers Rotherham day and night, for private drivers, local businesses and commercial operators. Cars, vans, motorcycles and non-runners, collected from the roadside, the driveway or the car park and taken wherever they need to go.

Our breakdown recovery runs around the clock, because breakdowns do not wait for opening hours. Whether you have stopped on Centenary Way in the rush hour, lost drive on the Parkway, or found a flat battery outside the house on a cold morning, one call gets a truck moving. Tell us where you are and what the vehicle is doing, and we will tell you what happens next.

When a vehicle cannot be driven, we come and get it. We recover cars, vans, motorcycles and non-runners across Rotherham, and we carry them on a flatbed rather than dragging them. That matters more than people expect: a locked wheel, a failed gearbox, an automatic that should not be towed, or bodywork that will not survive a rope all rule out the cheap option.
Most jobs are straightforward. A car that will not start, a blowout on a dual carriageway, a clutch that has given up halfway up a hill. Some are not, and those are the ones worth mentioning on the phone: a car on a multi-storey deck with a height limit, a vehicle on soft ground at the side of a lane, a van still loaded with stock that has to reach a customer. The more we know before we set off, the better the odds that the right truck turns up first time.
Rotherham runs straight into Meadowhall and Tinsley on one side and Doncaster on the other, and we cover the lot.

Breakdowns do not keep office hours, so neither do we. Early starts on Bawtry Road, late shifts finishing at Templeborough, weekend runs out to Wickersley and Maltby, bank holidays included. If you are stranded in Rotherham at three in the morning, the phone is answered by someone who can send a truck rather than a call centre that will ring you back.

Most Rotherham callouts come from one of a handful of places, and knowing them makes a difference to how quickly we reach you.
Junction 33 is the Rotherham exit for the Parkway, junction 34 sits at Meadowhall, and the Tinsley viaduct carries the motorway over the Don valley between them. It is busy in both peaks. If you have stopped on the hard shoulder, leave by the passenger door, get behind the barrier, and call from there rather than from inside the car.
The M18 leaves the M1 at junction 32 and runs east past Bramley and Maltby, with junction 1 on the A631. Bawtry Road itself runs roughly parallel through Wickersley and Maltby and out toward Tickhill. Both carry commuter traffic, and a vehicle stopped on either needs moving rather than leaving.
Centenary Way rings the town centre and the Parkway is the fast link into Sheffield past Templeborough and the Advanced Manufacturing Park at Waverley. Neither is a road to sit on with the hazards going for long.
The A6178 Sheffield Road runs through Templeborough and Tinsley toward Meadowhall, and the A633 heads north through Parkgate and Rawmarsh to Wath upon Dearne and Swinton. Both are single carriageway in stretches with nowhere obvious to pull in.
We cover Rotherham town centre and the Interchange, Parkgate, Kimberworth, Thorpe Hesley, Canklow, Brinsworth, Catcliffe, Treeton, Aston, Swallownest, Wickersley, Bramley, Maltby, Thurcroft, Dinnington, Rawmarsh, Wath upon Dearne and Mexborough. Some of the older terraced streets near the centre are tight for a flatbed, so tell us if access is narrow or the car is parked nose-in.
Yes, including M1 junctions 33 and 34 and the M18 from junction 1 at Maltby. If you are on the hard shoulder, get behind the barrier before you call, and dial 999 first if the vehicle is in a live lane or anyone is hurt.
It depends where you are, where the vehicle needs to go, the time of day and what we are recovering. Call with those details and we will give you a price before we set off, not after.
Usually. The limit is height rather than distance, because a multi-storey deck can rule out a flatbed. Tell us which car park and which level and we will confirm what we can do before setting out.
Yes, and from Bramley, Thurcroft, Aston, Swallownest and the villages along the Dearne. Rotherham callouts take us out that way routinely.
Yes. Vans and light commercial vehicles as well as cars and motorcycles. Tell us the size and whether it is loaded when you call, so we send the right truck.
It depends where you are and what we are already on. Call and we will give you a realistic time rather than an optimistic one.
